Part of the £65million Phase 1 redevelopment works of Luton Airport’s new terminal, works comprised construction of a new 32,000sqm terminal building housing 60 check-in desks, increased air-side parking, a parallel taxiway to Cat IIIb certification, landside civil works and gate one works to the existing terminal. Project Management Advisory services were provided as an integral part of the project’s ‘Construction Technical Advisor’ Team. The team were also appointed Contract Administrators for the engineering, procurement and construction contract and also managed the fast-track fit-out of several retail and catering outlets in the new terminal.

The planned redevelopment increased passenger capacity from 3.4million to 5million passengers per year. The works were undertaken via a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between Luton Borough Council and the Construction and Operating Consortium.
